Android coverage
Understand Android coverage before you set it up.
Guardian uses only the Android safety permissions your teen enables during a visible setup. The setup screen should be reviewed together so everyone knows which checks are active.
What can be checked
On supported messaging and social apps, Guardian can use on-screen text and notifications to look for focused safety signals once the relevant permission is enabled.
What parents receive
Parents receive a Safety Moment with context and a suggested conversation starter. Guardian is designed around focused moments, not a continuous parent message feed.
Important limits
Coverage depends on the phone, enabled permissions, and each app. Some content may not be available to any Android accessibility or notification-based check. Snapchat signals are limited because snaps are designed to disappear.
Your teen’s view
Companion shows active checks and gives your teen ways to ask for help, request a shared review, or request a privacy pause.
